Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Autonomous Driving

I worked on the ME acquisition a few years back. It was a very expensive bet and hope it is paying off. Any thoughts?

It will be like all other Intel acquisitions, a complete and utter failure. On the plus side folks from the acquisition will have about 5 years before they are shutdown.

MobileEye I think is making a lot of smart moves and the fact that they are separate and retaining their culture, I think may be a large apart of their continued success.I am a fan and think Intel got them for a great price compared to the money they have wasted on paste purchases(McAffee...).

As millions embrace working from home — many permanently — increasing investments in autonomous driving doesn’t seem particularly intelligent. Maybe Intel will buy a cruise line next!

The Germans might end up buying it, who knows. There are very few people in the automotive industry, and none among the decision makers, who come from the world of computing architectures and machine vision.

It’s going well and well worth the purchase price

It's hot garbage. Grapevine is that bingo bob is looking to sell it off to a group of germans.
