Single Crew Coming In Faster Than We Thought

Cutting all these conductor positions is setting them up for 1 man crews. It's been fun boys. I guess I'm gone.

Google Ron Batory and Eugene Scalia, the trump appointed FRA head and labor secretary, and you will see just how ANTI LABOR they really are.

Do the research and realize that TRUMP has stacked the courts against YOU and every other middle class person in the United States, with over 70% neoconservative, anti union, judges like the one who ruled to force crew consist negotiations in Texas.

Educate yourselves about your future, because Trump, Scalia, and Batory want to end it as soon as possible.

Trump and his anti railroad worker FRA chief Ron Batory, and his anti labor, labor secretary Eugene Scalia will ensure that NO man crews comes before his second term is over, along with signing the national right to work bill that removes paragraph 11 from the rail labor act, wiping out the unions and retirement.

Elections have consequences and trump and company already have legislation drawn up to dissolve railroad retirement and convert grandfathered employees that are not retired to social security, which they also have bills written to slash by 50% along with medicare, and increasing the eligiblity age to 70, for those 50 and under and 75 for those 40 and under.

Goodbye middle class and goodbye retirement, hello trickle d–k economy.

@the guy who said grab some water , lock the cab and strap a radio on . GOOD LUCK with that ! The old timers that still call them selves HOGHEADS will take hours to walk their train and they will probably stop it on single main track to plug up the main line . Z trains are going to be delayed and the HOGHEAD is going to take his time while looking out for slips , trips, falls, 4 point contact getting on and off the train, having a job briefing with him self , assessing his hydration level , looking out for rattle snakes, calling for a radio check , tying his shoe laces at least twice and then having severe problems getting the glad hands to line up properly . Its going to be one hell of a show that will be put on . Come on Maintenance of way its going to be a track and time party !!!!

It's going to be interesting to see on guy walk his two mile long train when it goes into emergency not to mention that the head end of the train will be left unguarded . Let's just say one guy has to walk his train in the desert where it's 115 degrees and the guy walking the trains gets heat stroke and cant move so he cant use his radio and he doesnt have a RCL box to call the dispatcher and let them know Man Down . The lawsuits that Union Pacific are leaving them selves open to are astronomical . They will save money in the short term by getting rid of one guy but in the long term its a money pit . I can hear it now from the guy walking the train " I rolled my ankle on the ballast , I got bit by a rattle snake, I got heat stroke and fell and was left in the sun to suffer for hours till somebody found me because my radio was out of reach when I fell . The pain and suffering I was feeling was magnified by the intense heat and rays of the sun " those are slam dunk law suits that FELA lawyers are going to be fighting for

Well hopefully the BLE won't sell them out for 15 bucks a day like the UTU did with RCL. Get the engineers an xtra 100 a day and sc-ap the conductor.

With PTC the transition will be easy and it is closer than a lot of people thought. The facts are that not all trains will operate with 1 person. Locals, switch engines and manifest trains that work en route will continue to operate with 2 people. Also, since the trains are being automated the only person being cut is the engineer, similar to the engineers being cut on the remote control jobs.
