All hands on call last week our great EVP said we don’t do what UP does? What an honest statement. UP Executives are cutting their pay. How about BSNF try doing the same?

At UP, in addition to the execs taking a pay cut, all non-union employees are forced to take a week of unpaid leave in May, June, July, and August. While jobs have not been cut, most employees are anticipating layoffs in October

I think you left out the part of the mass layoffs that are happening. The UP exec pay cuts don't amount to much. That pay cut is only to their base salary. Now if it was a 25% cut across stocks, dividends, and bonuses, then you'd have something worth talking about. The UP execs will see a very small decrease in their monthly salaries.
