Did you not read the email? Work from home okay to June 1. Oxy has done the right thing for us in this case.

Today highest number of new positive cases and increase in Deaths. Texas is peaking, both Houston and Dallas. Abbott should have waited 2-3 more weeks to slowly reopen Texas. As Mark Cuban said. Right now his kids are NOT going any where. Me neither. I’ve hardly been out, am using drive up services, going to store once a week very early AM. OXY really needs to wait until Mid or end June, given the crowded Greenway Plaza, elevators, etc. Maybe put in disinfectant chambers for employees to walk through prior to entering escalators from the parking garages. There sure would be a very long line waiting to pass through - get sprayed, blasted with UV disinfecting light, temp checks, etc.

Oh look we got ourselves a genius. Please tell us everything we need to know about the virus so we can go back to normal.

I am glad to see we stay home for another month. It hasn't been that bad after all. But I envision HSE needs at least a month to get all that training ready, HEP filters and UV lights installed, write policies and best practices etc. At best people 65 and older and those with pre existing conditions should be the last to show up to GW5, or do it on a reduced schedule.

Echo here: I would gladly work for 70% pay if it meant we could work from home permanently.

Is working from home worth the 30% cut for some? No daycare expense, cleaning expense, commuting expense, etc. Maybe that is why they cut us back knowing we would be home for a while.

Don't kid yourself, there has to be a benefit to them to continue to let us work from home. They have already proven over and over again they don't care about employees. I'm sure there is a huge financial upside to have us working from home. To start with, cost savings on utility bills like electricity and water. I wish they actually cared about us.

Covid is a joke. It's fake news. We need to get back to work so we can start consuming again and maybe our industry can start the long recovery. That 13 year contract won't continue after we claim bankruptcy.

we will all move to the woodland office and ditch greenway plaza. We will incorporate the wfh and office settings in the future.

For sure. As much as we complain while guessing what they are going to do they deserve credit for this decision. This is a great step forward to getting everyone back in the office in good health. I am afraid society is not taking this as serious as they should. I hate wearing a mask, but have been doing my best when I go to the grocery store or out. I do it more for the other people than myself, but I do it. In HEB yesterday about 1/3 of us had mask and people would just walk right up on you without any regard. We have to learn to do a better job, and think about others and not only think of ourselves to make this work. Hopefully, when we go back to the office people will practice all the steps that will be put in place.

I'm waiting to hear them decide to back out of the 13 year contract in The Woodlands and ditch that campus. How many employees are even still left there?
