Thread regarding Shell Oil layoffs

Solving layoff problem

The main reason of the lay off comes from oil overflow and out of space for storage.
There is a propose solution.

  • Get all the cars in the world out to fill up the tank for free for the next 3 months (as a start).
  • This will let the refineries continues to process crude oil and free up the storage.
  • As a result, oil can continue to pump.

If the goverment can help relax the pandermic issue by giving out check to every family, The oil companies can all pinch in and do their part. Nobody gets layoff, every body works.

I think you're missing a key element - no one is driving (relatively speaking, sure some still are). If you took all of my family nationwide, it would mean about 20-25 cars. All of us are knowledge-workers, so we are working from home. None of us need gas, free or not. Sure, you'll get a quick blip right off the top, but its not possible for 3 months.

Plus there is taxes, transport costs, etc.
