Why even offer VLO's when nobody is going to take them? Just announce the 50% cut and let us move on with out lives.

70,000 VLO invites went out. I wonder what kind of acceptance they’re seeing. They’d need about 25% acceptance to hit 10% goal.
The fine print says 15% or more.
Well your wish just came true. 15% lay offs in commercial.
I let go after 9-11, I had 15 yrs . I never looked back. It will all work out.
My guess is it'll be 99% eventually.
@1nig+14G918mG Lmao....
That’ll teach them to listen to us grumpy disgruntled goofs 😂
But in all seriousness....it’s obviously gonna happen. Just a guessing game till we hear legit numbers.
@mfb+14G918mG and they are walking back the articles because, and I quote:
"The cuts outlined in the article were heresy from Boeing employees found at TheLayoff.com"
SPEEA is walking back it’s statement it quoted to the Times about the 15%-35%.
So it’s either bs, someone misquoted or screwed up. Or weren’t supposed to say sh–.
Goddamn reporter needs to get facts straight before releasing sh–.
Take a look at the Seattle Times and Seeking Alpha articles that just came out.
A quote from it: “Boeing (NYSE:BA) is telling its union representatives that it will need to cut its workforce between 15% and 35%, the Seattle Times reports.”
Layoffs are seniority based so cuts will come from everywhere. Carolina will get hit hard I’d imagine too.
I wanna think positive and hope that it’ll be on the lower end of the percentage quoted. Maybe even 10%-15%...but it’s all just guessimates untell we hear the real numbers.
Reality s—s, but hope is what I have.
Quit your worrying. 747 is staying the same. UPS freighters. 767 has tankers and FedEX freighters. 777/777X will move forward with flight test and delivery no change. The only one being hit is 787. That’s where the cuts will be. VLO will get most of the 7-8k then minor cuts. Relax!!!!! Probably a 5-10% cut overall.
Welcome to the wait. It’s a sinking feeling if you think or wonder if your gonna get a WARN. Everyone tells you “there’s nothing you can do”, “don’t let it bother you” or “it’s only a WARN, it doesn’t mean your gone.”
Easier said than done. But it’s a part of being a Boeing employee. There are people taking the VLO. How many is anyone’s guess.
I’ve been there. It s—s a–. Take care.
How do you know nobody is going to take them? I know a few grandpas and grandmas that want to take it and not waste their golden years slaving in the factory.
