Since my union was happy to voluntarily have us take unpaid days off for the sake of "keeping memebers" would they mind if we voluntarily not pay union dues every other month? Asking for a friend...

Sign me up for time off voluntarily many would put there hands up. What do you want the union to do fight it then they will just say fine and lay-off.
Why would anyone be upset if they could voluntarily take time off unpaid? Sounds like you’re getting to lay-off
