This is Honda. This is not Ford or GM (and yes, I've worked for both of those before Honda.) If I was still there, I would very much worry about being laid off in a situation like this. But I honestly believe this place is different. The situation is such for all companies worldwide that some measures have to be taken to get through it. But once this is over, we'll be back to work - all of us. Call me naive, but I truly believe that.

Honda is a great company and I am hoping we'll weather the storm better than anyone else.
I've been with the company for over 20 years and we always figure it out.

I’ve been at Honda a long time and this is the worst I’ve seen it. But you are right furloughs were meant to right the ship. Most likely contractors are gone and then some middle management that are useless to the company. April sales were better than projected
