I just got told my job has been eliminated. I will not be returning. I only make 40k a year and work very hard, There are so many VP's and directors that should have been hit, why me with a small salary that makes it hard to live.
I am in Sydney both the Silverwater and North Sydney SG Digital office got hit quite hard with redundancies and furloughs, unfortunately the fake useless managers "leaders they call themselves" still managed to survive.
ATI has a lot of SCIgames people they are just switching.
Why all the Aristocrat finance directors and VPs?
PM is now set up as they have several PM's that support each department. It is not one PM for several departments. For example, there is a director of PM for hardware and he has 2 PM's under him to help with hardware. The same goes for game dev and etc.
My apologies if I'm coming off as gruff, but I've been hearing this same "Cut PM" mantra for years.
Coincidental that anyone who spouts that always comes running to the PM department whenever they are blocked from doing their work, or need information related to an unfamiliar aspect of a process or the company proper.
But the very nature of PM is to support numerous departments. When I was there, (close to 10 years ago), I supported all Class 3 Game Dev, QA, Compliance, Product Management, Field Services, etc, etc.
Which department would I be placed in? Also, how does disbanding a department and spreading the employees out help save any money?
What I am saying is the company can save money by eliminating PM and placing the employees in the departments they support.
I used to work at Bally Tech in the Class 3 PM department. All I can say is, if you think the PM department does nothing and could be completely eliminated, you have no clue how the company nor the industry works. NOTHING would leave that building with the PM team.
As I know, why did Project Management and Compliance not lose anyone from Class III gaming? They do nothing. They are overstaffed. PM can be totally cut out by putting the workers in the departments they support.
This whole place is a joke. The way everything has been handled is going to s— for SG when the Coronavirus is over. They’ve boned some good people who have admitted to myself and others they’re looking elsewhere.
All I hear from managers is how hard it is to find people with experience in lottery, but you can’t keep the ones you have paid for 1 week into Coronavirus. I guess that’s what being bad with money and holding so much debt does to a company. Good riddance bc even though I’m not furloughed I’m also leaving out of principle. Lottery R&D is the worst

If you are hourly you are only suppose to work 32 hours - that is the pay cut - a reduction in hours. Many are not working 32 they are exceeding 40 hours. Please someone tell me how this is so fair to the ones furloughed or gone. It is how you play the game and who you play it with I suppose.
Finance selects - Well this is a joke....Finance is not furloughed and has people sitting doing nothing (not like this is a new occurrence. My coworkers in finance many are worthless!!! I can say this as i work with them). Why do we have so many working with me in finance. I expected to be cut but wasnt. Billing, AP, Revenue...come on. Not much going on and if you are keeping all of the worthless I work with them make them do the jobs they have not been doing. Ok some of our "fearless" leaders should be fearful they arent gone since they do nothing. Like the one who walks around and looks important with his notebook and the others who have no idea what is going on in the department. It is a joke in finance and yes if someone is reading this some of us should have been furloughed if not gone for good (not me of course )
Have heard the Sydney office is a bloodbath, several teams annihilated... Would be good to hear this directly from them, but seems like they've been muzzled...

I am in Lottery team. Our manager told us all US employees have to be furloughed for two weeks, isn't it?
