So this was posted 10h before my post. Which means Wed 4/22. This was news on Monday. It takes a while to filter out to the general public.

Reason #1 that the OP does not work at Boeing, 48 hrs late with news everyone knew.

Reason #2 the OP does not work at Boeing is that it is NOT a straight 2 week furlough. It is a rolling furlough well into the year.

I'm tired of the non Boeing folks coming here and starting frivolous threads just to start sh–. F-ing go home, do something productive with your life. Find a job.

Boeing should be doing furloughs for all....

Meaning if they actually cared for our safety, they could have roughly 50% come in/split crews in half to work for a 2 week pay period and then while that first half goes on a 2 week furlough (paid by unemployment), the 2nd half can come in to work. And so on....

We actually got some traction with this but a “upper management” (believed to be a 3rd or 4th level) said it wouldn’t work. Possibly due to it not being their idea or they’re just ignorant mo–ns.

Just ideas....we’re just trying to come up with them to lessen the ILO’s.

Let that snide comments roll...
