Significant internal rumors that Sycamore is considering shuttering Staples retail entirely. Cash to restart operations doesn't even break even for 2+ years. This could be it.
SP is a collection of wealthy scum bags. Karma is a b*tch though. They also said they were not in favor of how L Brands wasn’t paying their rent and it violated the transaction yet they own a company that is doing just that right now. If they did acquire the company before this all happened you can bet they would order Victoria Secret to not pay rent right. Private Equity companies are going to fall from all of this though, that is a fact
