Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

When your company bites. The media is your friend

Everyone here has an opportunity to shine light on the darker corners of Sabre.

You can do this in Anonymous ways.

I would encourage you to do so. Here's how you do it with no further negative impact to yourself.

email details to the media.

Don't use a company laptop.
Do use a VPN service
Do use a non traceable email
Don't refer to things that aren't known by multiple people.

With a fresh 1.1 Billion in the bank. This furlough is all about greed. Not about taking care of their peoplen. Let the public and the media know the dark corners.

"The entire globe is cratering people! [#FakeNews] Wake up. This is just the beginning."

—FearMonger.

The PANDEMIC-1968 H3N2 virus continues to circulate worldwide as a seasonal influenza A virus. The PANDEMIC 2009 H1N1 virus continues to circulate as a seasonal flu virus, and cause illness, hospitalization, and deaths worldwide every year. SARS-COV19 will be added to the list. Earth has weathered many, many viruses.

This country was locked-down because of fear. Furloughs happened because of fear. Layoffs happen because of fear. There is ZERO proof that the lock-down did anything more than collapse the strongest economy in the history of the planet.

FDR had it right. FEAR the FEAR.

I'm appalled at this original post. Some of us have put YEARS of blood, sweat, and tears into this company. I've experienced 6 CEOs at Sabre over my tenure. Sean and team are pretty transparent what the company needs to do to survive and where they need to invest for the future. Our company isn't unique in that we have experience good and bad times, have good and bad leaders, and good and bad employees. If you don't care to help.the company move forward successful, then please move on to another company. Those of us that LOVE this company will stay and help rebuild a very good company and reestablish a solid culture. I am one of many being furloughed today, but I fully understand the financial reason why. People think 9/11 was bad, but our current pandemic is global and hundreds of thousands times worse. I will NOT speak poorly of MY COMPANY!!

the policys enacted at furlough sure seem to go against Sabres own Values and ethics guidelines.

Why do I want to keep it inside the company? Because there is no point in sharing that. Because besides fighting the pandemic and fighting for the company image during the furlough, I don't want the company having to fight yet another PR crisis, I don't want further talents leaving the company and when this is all over, I want the company to be able to stand on its feet once again as quickly as possible to allow its employees to provide for their families.

Why on Earth would you want something different?

And what good do you expect out of this? Do you think it will be easier to find good people to work for the company with bad PR? Or you just want to sink this company? If it's so bad for you, why do you still work here?

If you want and believe in change you need to be Agent of it.

If you dont care. Then i guess dont do it ?

If you think politicians and media calling Sabre with their opinion while Sabre has a major legal case in appeal (which they've spent over 100 million on to date). You are thinking straight.

Give em hell texas

I expect honesty, transparency, shared sacrifice.

They were completely not honest when they did the sev program. The were non transparent in their next steps OR at what levels escalation would be needed and there is certainly a vast number of examples of no shared sacrifice.

Who cares if they know? If the numbers are true they need to move out of Westlake and relocate to a jack in the box.
