When does everyone think layoffs will start?

I agree I think they should offer layoffs to everyone and see who would take it. I am an early career Landman and I would take it for 4-6 months severance!
I'm LAPC and just want a clean way out of the place. Would give up the CoC for a lesser deal and go on unemployment for a while. Six months pay, vest LTI for what it is worth, unused vacation hours and I would be gone. It would save some Oxy folks if they offered a layoff to everyone and would be much more fair.

I heard from someone today that Chevron is doing furloughs 1 day a week with a 25% cut in pay. That’s a better deal than working the same number of hours in exchange for a 30% cut. LOL
God I would make more being laid off now via unemployment than my current salary.

Furlough will supersede lay-offs! No cost to furlough an employee. I have never seen that occur in my 30 years in oil and gas. Maybe it happened at Chesapeake. Oxy is the new Cheasapeake.
The probably can't afford layoffs. Just keep reducing salaries until people quit.
No, they are extending some employee's VSP, so that tells me they are putting off that expense. Plus, they are still paying many laid off employees salaries and some VSP. Before long the salaries of VSP and laid off folks will be more than the active employees if we don't watch out.
