Thread regarding CA Technologies (CA Inc.) layoffs

Good news? What goes around comes around?

Is it true that there's a hiring freeze for mainframe roles within Broadcom? And, if true, is this a short-term decision or is the honeymoon over for mainframe employees within Broadcom? I'm hoping the honeymoon is over. I'm sick and tired of the former CA mainframe do-nothings flaunting their animosity towards former non-mainframe CA colleagues inside Broadcom over lingering bitterness from the old CA days. Would serve them right to be relegated back to the 3rd class workers they've always been. I'll be so happy when I stop hearing about the mainframe do-nothings hiring ghosts and investing in lost causes.

Silly GD ;) You see when the non MF had various layoffs by politics you are left with an organization of snakes. Those that were the most evil were always safe. And yes the people sleeping with their manager and lgbtq prancing around were safe too, but not always evil. It’s all about snakes and that is what CA creates.

This virus is showing the true colors of a lot of people. Just reading this site for the past couple of months has made me disgusted with humanity. Who gloats and laughs about people losing their jobs? Apparently the same id–ts that gloat and laugh about people dying in mass. I'm not sure if the internet has made people worse, or it has simply exposed a sick element of society that was too cowardly to speak out when they would otherwise be exposed.

Why are you people fighting each other? neither the Mf asked for Ca to buy companies and ruin them nor the Aquired Software Factory stuff, we were doing great on our own!

Point your anger to the the Useless upper Management that are now doing the same sh– somewhere else!

Let the mf guys gloat. That cash cow allowed for wasteful office of the cto projects that produced not a dime in revenue in over a decade. Millions of their profit flushed down the drain so CA can attempt to portray an innovative image.

Wow, someone is bitter. Yes, the mainframe is so worthless with that 2.2 billion in revenue at about 90% profit. What a horrible franchise. Hock should just fire everyone. Oh, I guess you forgot why the MF division was kind of upset during the CA days. Having all of your profit taken away and quarterly layoffs, so that the office of the CTO and certain GMs could build shiny new toys that produced ZERO revenue.

Haven't heard of a freeze yet, but it would not surprise me. While the MF is kind of shielded from short term revenue swing due to the nature of their contracts, I can't see any business hiring outside or health and food distribution. Too much uncertainty right now.
