Announced earlier today...all US employees receive a $1000 stipend on the 1st pay in April. I'll take it!

That is a big fat joke. ADP employees are working so many hours that they are not getting paid for it doesn't even come close.
Looks like Carlos has joined us.
ADP is so good to it's employees.
$1000 payments are not taxable to employees AND deductible to ADP under Section 139 Disaster relief. Win-win?
Not tomorrow silly, the RIF dates are late April.
Book it Dano
$1,000 is indeed very useful. But what would be more useful is not to be laid off, have a stable job, and not have to work like a slave for a lower than usual salary. While the money is useful to the employees, this is indeed an ADP PR stunt aimed at self-promotion, not really concern for the employees, who tomorrow could be gone due to a layoff or job stress. This is not sour grapes, just reality.
Lots of sour grapes here.....a $1000 is very useful. Some people......no matter what, are just miserable and angry.
This program will be shamelessly promoted on Twitter and other social media, and I'm sure they've already released it to the news outlets. This is not a time for celebrating when so many are hurting and newly unemployed.
This $1000 check is to all employees (not corporate officers) and is going to be tax free. This is in addition to what the government will eventually roll out/make available. But get this.... National Accounts sent out an email this morning asking for employees to "Show NAS Your #ExtraThanksExpression"... they want employees to "Take a selfie, post on ADPWorks and share in the celebration"...... Really? You want us to celebrate that you're giving us a $1000 check as we're all working around the clock to get employees paid? You want us to celebrate when so many of our colleagues have been, and will get laid off?! AND this is in the face of a world-wide pandemic...... OMG this is over the top! SHAME ON WHOEVER CAME UP WITH THIS BRILLIANT IDEA!
This gets the company positive press, which it needs right now. Why do salaried workers need a stipend when it's the hourly non-exempt workers who are facing all the job losses right now?

can someone clarify please .... I think we may be talking about two different things here . There’s a $1000 check that the government is considering sending , but after I’m reading this thread I’m interpreting it as something ADP is doing on her own a $1000 check for their employees specifically . Am I correct in that assumption ?
Don’t spend it until you clear the coming reductions.
I’m sure this is only for employees. If you’re receiving a 1099, you’re not an employee.
Low cost bribe to stay positive and be expected to work harder.
Employees specifically ? What about 1099 based work As is my current situation?
$1,000! Nice! Now if ADP brings the pensions back, that would be even better!
