Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

Wow Boeing I didn't think you'd do us like this...

Over 18 confirmed cases. Oh but no need to worry because they say there is no evidence of transmission. Less than two weeks ago there were no cases. Obviously they are in denial, but are they really pretending to be virus detectives now? This is said to be 100 to 1,000 times more infectious than the SARS virus.

Also:

"One of the things that this pandemic is showing us is that we don't have enough trained individuals," says Patty Olinger, executive director of the Global BioRisk Advisory Council, a division of the International Sanitary Supply Association trade group. Many professional cleaners aren't trained in the kind of precautions and procedures necessary to safely combat the coronavirus. "This is potentially a gap in our industry," she says.

"Properly sanitizing buildings can require specially trained and experienced professionals as well as advanced equipment"

Attention @1gaz
Boeing Management Thinks They Are Smart; They Are Not Smart.
All Criminals Think They Are Smart:

A former senior manager at Boeing, who urged the company to Shut Down
The MAX factory, had revealed, the fleet experienced at least 13 other safety
incidents in the aircraft's short lifespan. — HE QUIT —

Senior Boeing Management have proved, far beyond any doubt that they are
Incompetent, Ruthless and Amoral

Senior Boeing Management will send people to their death for profit and
if for no other reason, perception.
Their ego is far beyond comprehension…
Then Sitting Before Congress they will Claim that yes they made mistakes
and that they will do better, and yes they can do better because they have
The Expertise.

Boeing is the epitome of Bad Management; Incompetent; Ruthless and Amoral

The entire world has seen this movie before, and yet still we watch…

I hope that everybody reading this regardless if you work here or not comes to the realization that if we keep working somebody will DIE In the factory on the clock maybe next to you. If Boeing a smart they will suspend operations ! but the damage is already been done if they shut operations down send us home to self Quarantine I guarantee you that when we come back to work there will be a coworker that doesn’t show up Because unfortunately he got COVID-19 last Tuesday When Boeing was discussing to shut down or not. This is real this could happen and probably will. Also Gov Jay Inslee needs to get his head out of the clouds, and shut down the state down now. Fact: Washington state was the first State to have a diagnosed case! back in January.

No Evidence of Transmission? News Flash if people are sneezing and coughing. That is how the virus is spread. More than likely alot more infections than indicated. Let's just see how many people can be infected?

Corona virus concern; Boeing suspended factory operations

The company has not yet made a final decision on when it will resume
operations, although it will have major implications for the company’s
supply chain.

Boeing will use its non-functional days to clean factories in Washington State
and South Carolina, workers said, and are committed to reactivating production
lines after the suspension.

Earlier this week, Airbus announced plans to cease operations in France and
Spain for four days.

As of Thursday, 14 coronavirus cases were confirmed in Boeing’s factory,
which employs 70,000 people in the Puget Sound area of Seattle.
Many were reported at the Everett Hub north of Seattle.

Company benefits too much by staying open:

  • If you show up to work they get some productivity
  • If you LWOP, they save money by not paying you
  • If you use a bunch of your benefits (PTO), then you exhaust it & you'll be stuck working all the time when they finally resume normal operations.

@pus It's not locking yourself up and you don't even necessarily need to stay home either. It is called social distancing. You can still go out. People like you need to get a grip on reality and realize we all have a part to do. The governors are saying to act as if you are infected. This is a state of emergency, don't you understand that? At least 5 states are on lockdown right now and we are next.
