Little birdy, known as my wife, works in HR (OCU) was informed that on Monday, 2/23/2020 they are to begin compiling names for RIF to occur no later than end of second quarter. Her supervisor indicated numbers to RIF were between 2K and 3K.
Wife indicated it was very risky to make this info public but, she felt everyone should know what management is working toward.
To the Cummins management if they are also reading this article. In this hard time why not reduce the salary by 20 precent of everyone rather than cutting the workforce by 20 percent. This will help everyone and increase loyalty among co-workers. It will also save a lot of money when things come back to normal as Cummins won't have to waste a lot of money hiring new talent and train them. Let Cummins show that it stands for its employee in thick and thin. Please spread this message and let it reach the CEO.

Yea thanks for the information it's 3/23/20 is that right? You had 2/23/20. Also it's not surprising, with things getting shutdown and you know all companies are starting to bleed money. I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't start as soon as the start of the second instead of the end of it. Another thing as many of us know, so many of the exempt have been able to sacrifice non family members and others from overseas. I have said this before, I think that this time we may see those family and friends and such getting cut and their is nothing that they or their friends can do.
