Sorry, but you have no idea what the banks are thinking right now. It's possible they're in this for the long game. I doubt they would plunk down another 2B only to give up now and sell assets for 10 cents on the dollar. It's a very volatile industry, and they knew that. One major disruption combined with a sooner-than-expected vaccine could swing things in the other direction quickly.
