Does anyone else find it fishy that these layoffs hit after the SCR campaign? I called it as soon as I saw a recall was announced. Why isn’t Cummins treated like VW when they were caught cheating emissions? These systems are garbage, and Cummins has been ripping their customers off for years with these faulty systems. Our branch was turned into a glorified muffler shop because of all the issues, and were charging customers thousands of dollars for repairs that weren’t “covered under warranty.” They were caught with their hand in the cookie jar, and the rest of us are left to suffer for it! all the while they jumped 20 spots up on the Fortune 500, and then claimed they’re too broke to retain workers. I’m glad all their cheap Chinese labor force stopped running for the foreseeable future.

They designed junk because of the Indian engineers. Trust me, I worked with them side by side and most were cranked out by diploma mills and had no clue of actual engineerings. I am just happy that Cummins has to live in the nest that it made.
So you're saying Cummins released an unproved or validated product into the market and lied to the market when it was released? That is so much better than not "trying" to design junk. They just did it by not doing lifecycle validations or proper testing.. Thank you for the clarification..
Cummins didn't intentionally design a bad SCR. They just degraded faster than expected and Cummins had to make it right, unfortunately for everyone involved.
