Thread regarding Resideo Technologies layoffs

Hows that installer model working with no one going in anyone's house?

Great call "leadership"...going with that 1975 model of waiting for an id–t to show up at your house and going away from DIY was pure genius....nice work. You guys are visionaries.

4gvk - many inside the company tried to alert people to all of this for many years and they were either fired or marginalized. Please make sure all other dealers understand this company is dead and it’s all down hill from here. Please start reselling our competitors products ....especially the diy products. They are much better, more innovative and much more reliable and stable.

Wait a minute! You have the overpriced and under-performing DAS Pro - that will solve the DIY issue. Oops forgot, they couldn't get it to work and k–led it. What about the incredibly low-res 90's technology wireless motion viewers? That's the game changer, right Michel and Andy. You and your marketing team should be ashamed of yourselves for even considering these products had merit, then spending failed millions $ to promote it and not build it. As a dealer I found it difficult to believe this stuff could improve my business even though your sales people and channel marketing team kept spewing this drivel...I was right. Unfortunately the visionaries have left this company and all we are left with is this side show act. Why the both of you are not defendants in these upcoming class action lawsuits is beyond comprehension.

There are no issues with PROs as our CEO has mentioned and this is a direction that will not change.
As for corona it’s fake news.
People should not install our products themselves. Only a pro can navigate the installation process and registration process. Not sure what that means about competitors.

Does the term ...”final nail in the coffin” mean anything. From talking to the various sales people it’s a disaster. People are returning things and buying DIY products from competitors. No one would wait around before this. I’m going to have some stranger in my house around my family? I’d be afraid for their safety and my stuff being stolen before this....now I have to worry about catching something and it takes out my entire household
