Thread regarding Sears layoffs

How is your store's April Liquidation going?

In the store I'm at it doesn't appear to be going well. With only about 30 more days to go the store is jammed packed with winter clothes. Softlines is still more full now than we were at Christmas. Even if everything was dropped to $1.97 now I think we would still be hard pressed to sell everything. How are other liquidating stores fairing?

You will also have to ring up every thing that is left through the register before you pack it up. With our several pallets worth of merchandise it took a few hours to ring it all up. We had to save all the receipts from ringing everything (you cash it out), I think it has something to do with inventory. Everything was set to ring as a penny and we had to text the liquidator the total from all the receipts at the end. It was kind of a pain. (This was a Kmart btw)

The one in Augusta, GA was very hot on the inside to the point it was very uncomfortable to walk around and shop!

Would not be surprised if some liquidations are extended because of the virus and lack of shoppers (or you will box it up and send it to the next round of closing stores...and so the cycle begins again.

30 days usually still has a lot of merch in the store. People really start coming out at the 2 and 1 week mark, but who knows with the virus. You will box up whatever doesn’t sell at the end. We had 5 pallets of boxes that were sent out (Kmart)

I think a couple weeks of society in lock down will k–l this business off. You will just set all the merchandise on the sidewalk with a" free sign" and call it a day.

jem+142GyRKR Ha! Box up all this c-ap. There's not enough boxes. Men's, women's and kid's are jammed packed with pregnant quad after pregnant quad, and heap after heap of folded on the maple tables.

Businesses across the nation are taking a huge hit because of COVID-19. Restaurants, bars and other businesses have closed temporarily, laying off employees or cutting hours. With our store we boxed the leftover merchandise and shipped it to another store. Most likely the same will happen to your store. I recommend getting boxes now.

Is Eddie still looting this corpse?
I thought they had anti-lewd laws against perverts like Eddie, but guess not ....
