Thread regarding Mayo Clinic Hospital layoffs

COVID - 19

I cannot believe some managers do not allow non-essential on site staff to work from home when the capability is all in place to do so. In emergencies only is the stance of these pathetic managers especially at a time of unknown like now. When no in person collaboration is taking place and all tasks are done via a laptop or on the phone, this is just a poor management practice.

AGREE. My department has heard NOTHING from my manager as she claims she doesn't hear anything from anyone, which has to be a blatant lie. We still come to work each day, sit in our tiny non-socially-distant office, wear our own scrubs, and get zero guidance. The only info we've gotten was forwarded to us from a friend in another department. We've even had to get masks from other departments. My manager has taken to working at home when she wants but doesn't tell us when. Wake up management!

Those type of managers and directors should not be in this type of role. They have no clue in life much less managing staff.
