I work for Textron Aviation and know first hand this is true.

Rather than face the fact that they are behind in innovation and defunct as leaders Textron will now allow the decisions of that leadership to affect the lives of families in the most critical times to flail.

Instead of addressing critical senior leadership failures relying on unrealistic AOPs they will further destroy the company through these actions. Being Human, Being Trustworthy, Being Collaborative, Being Legendary are all hollow sentiments for others to follow. In true Textron fashion, “be quite and do as I say not as I do”.

I've heard from my shop steward and boss that Monday brings a furlough for 4 weeks. No official statement from the company, and no unemployment information.
