Thread regarding Cummins Inc. layoffs

with three months of severence and covid19 how is one to survive?

By my calculations I will be flat broke and homeless by the end of june. How is one supposed to look for a job with the whole world shutting down? I had an interview lined up that was cancelled due to covid19 fears. The timing of this could not possibly be worse.

:-(

But you can take consolation in knowing that Linebarger and family are living large up in Indianapolis, eating well and drinking champagne. He might even take a moment to think about/care about the peons he has cast away.....or not. Rest assured though, he won't lose any sleep over the likes of you or the other 2000 plus employees he threw away....after all...it's just business.

Your right, and the president said that this was going to go on until August and that is probably the optimistic forecast. Also they talked about a chance of a recession (from the president) and if that is the case and the bloodbath in the markets along with the virus you can see companies tightening their belts and not hiring.
