Thread regarding Apache Corp. layoffs

WFH & Descend

I'm surprised more hasn't been said regarding this here. Now that Project Ascend has moved into Phase II: The Descend (or Rescind), I'm curious how they are going to handle this next round of promised cuts given that we are all at home until at least March 30th.

Is everything on pause until we are able to return to the office (which certainly could be later than the 30th if this thing gets ugly), or is Friday the last day some of us will set foot in an Apache office?

Well, I imagine you can get laid-off by phone or email. Probably even easier, they won't waste money on the stationary.

They'll just make the cuts whenever they would have if this virus scare hadn't happened. Probably this week. Not sure how they'll notify everyone, but they did this work-from-home mandate because they basically had to. And it's not going to get in the way of company-saving measures.

Check WTI price. That should help with your timeline.
