As a new hire, I’m starting get concerned about this crisis and was wondering how likely is if for Q to start the lay offs especially for new hires?

Layoffs are never all that precise. Attempts are made to make them look less prejudicial by having certain quotas. How heavily compensated someone in can also be a factor. Sometimes newer people have better odds of surviving because they are often paid less.
