Thread regarding Alliance Data Systems Corp. layoffs

No one really cares anymore.

We aren't a bunch of dogs who will jump up for a slice of of pizza. No one cares anymore. The circle of trust has been broken. Write ups right and left, who cares? And go ahead and tell me maybe this isn't the place for me... that's a blanket statement for everyone employed here. Think of a better threat than that.

Regardless of what you've seen in the past, that's not what happened. I watched the whole thing... We all did. They did it in the middle of everyone not hiding anything.

@3fqc+13xHeADQ Oh really! Only a BSS would provide such simplistic statement as they have no creativity. They cut and past canned messages into the write ups they create. If you're curious to know, I do my job and DAMN well if you ask me. I take accountability for my actions and make changes when I'm coached so that I am not underperforming. Why don't you take a look into the mirror @3fqc+13xHeADQ?! You don't know me and you don't know my work ethic either, so your smoke & mirrors tactic doesn't work on this website. Leadership support isn't here to help you adjudicate your disagreement with what I've stated in this thread. Be an adult yourself by making statements when you're well informed or have walked in someone else's shoes (especially one who is excelling but disagrees with the unproductive corrective process). They're just going their job but they have the ability to strongly recommend policy changes and standing together with their counterparts. Unless they have a fear of retaliation from ADS or their leadership? What do you think? Do you not have faith in "the process" or that there would be no retaliation? Hmmm.... what do YOU fear from them (ADS)?

To the person complaining about the BSS’, they are doing the job they are instructed to do. Why don’t you look in the mirror, be on time and do your job the way it’s supposed to be done, then you won’t get written off. Stop blaming other people for your poor performance. Act like an adult and take ownership.

Ive also seen them draw a name and then say " oh I don't like them" and then redraw. I actually couldn't care less about their prizes. I give my entries away. Either way, it needs to be consistent and fair. Clearly, I have been there longer than you and have seen much more.

Lol the prizes were not rigged. they pulled ticked in front of us. Stop creating drama. You're part of the problem why morale is so low. Celebrate the people that won. Clearly, you're just bitter you weren't a winner. I saw them shake the jug, pull a name, announce the name on the ticket they pulled out.

Definitely. I have seen associates on my team, piss our supervisor off & shortly after, our supervisor just happened to listen to one of the associate’s call from a YEAR ago & wrote them up for the call.

Even the prizes are rigged. I have seen it happen. No way that management/leadership should be pulling those tickets. It should be done by a peon in full view of everyone. Not much respect left for the higher ups.

You know who writes you up? The business support supervisors! Or as they’re referred to as the BSS group. They are completely detached from the associates so they can write people up without a conscience for every little thing. They leads report directly to them and some of the BS supervisors don’t even care about their leads, they just go through the motions. Some don’t belong in that role and can’t even lead a horse to water to save their lives. The policies make no sense and are unrealistic, they’re used to clean house of all the “undesirables”. Some of them bring absolutely no value to business and think they’re untouchable. The ones with ‘Sr.’ In front of thing their s—t don’t stink! It’s practically a dead end job so some of them come to work knowing they have a full plate of write ups and take it out on the leads they support or target associates who are underperforming just to validate their jobs. Those who are horrible business support supervisors will get their karma in the end.

@example...If I give examples, leadership will be able to identify me. If you don’t believe what I’ve previously stated, go work in the collections department for 30days then tell me how many write ups you’ve received.

You can't win either way. They set you up for failure. If an account is eligible for a late fee credit, they should get it. This "negotiation" thing is a bunch of malarky. The customer is not happy with the 15.00 credit so then you get the bad survey. Either way, you're screwed. Too many late fee credits, negotiation rate too low, red alerts. It all ties in together and we are the ones who get screwed. When I walk in that building everyday, I feel like I'm entering a torture chamber. And yes, I am making plans to leave, just like everyone else I know. And oh, I am so sick of being b–ched out about the IVR, I cannot even express it. But, oh, that's my fault, too. I should be able to de-escalate that. Lmao.

The other thing about write ups, is that if you're the teachers pet, you don't get them, or they disappear fast. I once saw someone put on a final for something and then the next week a lead position opened. She wanted it and was buddies with that supe, so guess what? Voila! The final disappeared. This was many years ago, but it goes on all the time, that was just one example. Funny part was, she ended up getting fired from the lead position for the exact same thing she was put on the final for. We all just laughed and laughed

Not necessarily. Some of my write-ups were from “policies” that supposedly changed but were not communicated to associates prior to being written-up. No one is ever on the same page.

What's not valid about write ups? There are guidelines to follow. Guidelines you all agreed to.

So instead of layoffs, write ups for anything they deem wrong, and then pick us off one by one, like shooting fish in a barrel. It's a great way for them to try to clean up the company name while getting rid of the ranks. No severance and no unemployment. Rotten to the core.

You should leave..i did.
Your life means more than a place that uses and exploits you. They wont change because thats who they are. They have no core calues they adhere to. Nasty place to work for.
