Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

I heard a rumor they are closing certain offices (Like Denver) or selling off business units by end of summer 2020

So plan accordingly, it’s going to happen suddenly.

Rumors swirling about current leases in certain cities not being renewed or extended.

Has work slowed down in your business unit?

Has your boss made excuses as to why work load has slowed down?

BTW, your boss is being used, he/she will be the last one to know what is really going on.

Finally, yes, the biggest economic crash is coming and being ushered in by the coronavirus. The disruption in the supply chain is going to cause huge complications and layoffs everywhere, in every industry.

Hopefully you’re not one of those id–ts with a huge mortgage or an over priced home that is really only worth $50 a sq foot, like so many of those that bought million dollar homes....they are not really worth a million dollars, as you’re soon going to find out.

Hate to say I told ya so....but I told ya so....better make sure all your debt, mortgage, loans are paid off.

The big crash is coming and jobs are going to be few.

Quincy Office for TA is actively being shipped for sublease. These jobs will all be relocated to KC, Lawrence, and ME.

Once a decent place to work. Now a dying business in a dying industry. Sad.

I think selling off the old DST business units that won't/can't hit the 40% margin requirement (ie all the business units) is likely outcome. But then why continually gut them? I mean it doesn't take much to build up a plausible story for suitors. Unless this latest round of cuts is part of that plan. But godd-amn, the personnel situation is becoming dire here!

The worker bee people will find jobs after the layoffs, but if you’re a SVP or higher, forget finding a new job making the same money. In fact you better make sure your debts are paid and no mortgages because you’ll never find a similar job again when this economy finally crashes. And it will crash.

Any city that has a small business unit should be afraid. These groups are easily expendable and will be cut soon, as they should, as most of these business units are not making money and have a lot of dead weight, do nothing employees who are just mailing it in. Adios....you’re getting fired soon.

I heard a similar rumor by end of 2020. Chopped up and sold off or closed down.

Good. There are a lot of people at dst who do nothing all day.

Agreed. This coronavirus is going to be the thing that crashes the stock market due to the supply chain being disrupted. Most of us didn’t see this one coming. Bio weapon? Maybe. We are definitely at war right now.
