Looks like some lay offs coming?

Who starts all this nonsense? Infusion is not going anywhere.
What’s the latest?
The really scary part is the lack of SME’s is a company wide problem.
Alaris SMEs are long gone. Many if the gangsters guys either resigned or got laid off. Dispensing troll management think (class 1) can handle class 2 medical devices? LUL. After few years now they reaped what they sown. They will either fudge the report for the fixes in May or they will miss this deadline those are the two outcomes.
While Alaris really sh– the bed, it seems like it’s purely a management screw up this time. MMS had a somewhat hostile take over of Alaris R&D, and this is the result of trying to slap “muh ruthless prioritization” dispensing template on top of the glacial Infusion business. They didn’t listen to, laid off or scared away a lot of Alaris SME’s, and now they take it in the shorts by the FDA. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see why this happened. Apparently the FDA is not like the FAA where a Boeing can tell them to look the other way while we apply numerous minor patches on an old design. There was a lot of arrogance and hubris from management, and even to this day they sounds like they want to scheme around this FDA beating.
Now they wish they had some of those SME’s back to remediate the FDA issue. All they have is a boiler room full of $8/hr Chandagar Chaiwallah’s who need to be trained how to do the most menial of tasks, far be it from actual problem-solving. It would all be so laughable if people I knew and respected weren’t caught up in this ordeal.
In terms of layoffs, I would expect a little bit now, and then a stronger than usual Annual BD September Layoff™️
When?
Yea soon
