ALTICE DATA BREACH

DATA BREACH
This message is intended for the upper management of Altice, as we know you do monitor this site. My wife was a victim of the Equifax data breach In 2017. Ever since then the whole credit & finance world has been a nightmare despite credit agency lock down and freezes. There are still frequent attempts to defraud our credit cards and God knows what else? We just received another attempt last week from the original identity theft from Equifax. The reason for this email is a request for you to do the right thing. There is already a law firm on this site requesting someone involved to contact them. I will give you one week. To up your offer for monitoring to five years. Identity theft is a lifetime fight it is NOT over and done with in one year. So even at 5 years you're still getting off the hook. You just sentenced us all to a lifetime of monitoring at our own expense. So you can do the right thing, or you're going to have to deal with a class action lawsuit. And if you think for one minute that people will not join this lawsuit due to your negligence. You better think again. To the spokesman for the company who put out the Newsday article We're not allowed to name names. I hope you're listening (L.A)!

Your “letter” seems like bs to me. More likely from the law firm trying to drum up interest in their suit.

I’d also bet that almost everyone here has had their information stolen. It’s a cold world. Dress warm.

  1. 9% of the people have their information exposed. If you were not caught up in this one you were probably part of another hack at another company. Just do some research and look at all the companies that got exposed and you don't hear about. My advice is keep an eye on your credit with one of the free apps like Credit Karma. You can check it everyday and see if new accounts are opened. I would freeze your credit as well.

Sure let's all join the class action lawsuit. In five years we'll each get a check in the mail for sixty two bucks.

Spread the word to every Altice / Cablevision employee you know to join this lawsuit. As well as everybody else you know who is a customer, as their info was stolen too. Unless of course you want to pay from your own pocket for protection.

Oh yeah. I'm looking at joining the lawsuit. This is also to Altice. I was already over getting layed off after 10 plus years of dedicated service and then having to start completely over financially. I don't get my W-2 but I DO get a letter from you letting me know my social and DOB and other info was stolen. . . After not working there over a year you are still wreaking havoc on my life. I really just want to be able to have nothing to do with you ever again. Because of your negligence this time you will be a pain in my a– for the rest of my life! So now I basically have PTSD and still don't have a w2. I would say that it's personal against me. . .but that would be silly. You treat employees and customers and I guess ex employees the same. Being a continuing pain in the a** , lying, over promising and under delivering.
