Thread regarding Sungard Availability Services layoffs

A self destructive mess

New leadership team are either setting up the books for a sale, or they have been infected with some bizarre brain disease. Customers are deeply unhappy and voice their concerns to their utterly exhausted Service Delivery Managers. Message from the top is "Get the ticket closed within the TTR and \o/ Yipeee!" Nothing learned.

Your company is sinking under the weight of it's leadership's stupidity.

@4mqf+13s62aaH ... that's some strong Kool-Aid you're drinking there. Make sure you're fully recovered and ready to go by Monday AM.

Give it a rest Dr. Evil. Have a beer and relax, it's Friday.

Raises have been pathetic anyway ... unless you get a promotion they’re usually 2-3 percent ... we even had a long stretch of no raises ... truly a company that cared about its employees

The id–ts who decided to to move the customer facing SDM's from the United Kingdom, to India, is to blame. The high turnover of staff means no continuity for the clients, the company is going down faster than the titanic, and the LD have no clue what they are doing.

While I agree with most of the sentiments shared here, the main reasons I am still here are the work from home policy, a decent salary, and getting to work with some really great and smart people. But be sure about one thing: I am looking for other options that have a good work from home policy.

Totally agree. Customer base was perhaps the most satisfying part of my role. My now very rare interaction with them is one where they are just frustrated and at their wits end. Relationship with customers has gone from professional friendships to damage control engineer. At least for the ones that are left.

There is no hope and they know it. I swear it seems like they want to lose customers
I know of 5 big customers leaving and many smaller. No way in hell can the first quarter numbers look good unless they fire us all

I’ve lost 3 customers billing a total of $40k mrr because of the SME organization not being truthful to our customers. Over promising and under delivering. Pune needs to get it together or get canned

Look at the Sgas owner’s track record... they have always sold off all the assets to recoup their investment.... any attempt to grow the business ended 3 years ago...

So glad I left when I did, hard to believe it could have got any worse than when I jumped ship but speaking to those still there the downward spiral continues!! As previous poster said, get out while you can...the grass is greener in this case. Good luck everyone.
