simple. There is 0 communications and 0 transparency. So the layoffs are happening and nobody knows about it. Basically people will go to others for hep and find email undeliverable. RPO business is toxic and is essentially a house of cards. Layoffs are happening (homeshored, Maitland, Findlay), and will continue to happen as clients leave and revenue is plunging. New business is not going to be enough to grow the revenue, as new deals are all low cost accounts with positions that make no sense for RPO organization. I've had years of executive recruiting experience and if they ask me to recruit for garbagemen or pizza delivery drivers, I'm quitting. These roles don't require recruiters.
They think that outsourcing to India will cut costs enough to address this new business model of hiring for minimum wage roles, but it will just lead to whatever remaining profitable clients exist leaving. In current US economy and political climate, american candidates don't want to be recruited by someone in India after seeing their jobs and those of their friends and family outsourced
Uh-Oh! :-)
Ironically, I just heard in a meeting that the RPO organization is increasing.
What groups we’re targeted in NAS.
Another 47 freed hostages! Gotta love they get outta of the hell hole though! ADP is such a horrible place to work now. I dread each and every day at the toxicity of this disastrous management team. I can't find an new job quick enough!
7 let go from RPO and 40 from NAS in orlando. Just got word of it.
:-) Yes, we are psychic too and foresee many more layoffs. Anyone selling outsourcing products will themselves be outsourced.
Really, seeing a pattern of outsourcing to India? Are you a Mensa?
RPO is Recruitment Process Outsourcing. I see a pattern here with COS (Comprehensive Outsourcing Services) - ADP is outsourcing everything to India.
What is RPO?
I heard at the beginning of this fiscal that RPO was no longer going to exist. Not sure of the timeline but guessed it to mean maybe by the end of this fiscal it would be gone.
Unfortunately you need to be paranoid and proactive. No one seems to be safe. Have your resume ready and your referrals lined up. There is no loyalty to the employees anymore. It's a numbers game for Carlos. He doesn't care about Adp or any of the employees. If he ruins the company he will be asked to leave hy the board and probably walk away with a huge pay out. If he retires- he's set in his finances. Either way he walks away rich.
I have asked a couple of times about the RPO division as I know we have had them (layoffs, VERP). Most on this site seem to be working for CORP and IT I think. I know RPO has even had office closures. Just last week I noticed an employee that I work with regularly was just GONE (Laid off). I also work for RPO and I am remote. Im starting to get paranoid.
