Thread regarding Dean Foods Co. layoffs

Could a Government Bailout Be Possible?

With milk being still a necessary product in schools, hospitals, military and other institutions. Seeing the government offer dollars to the farmers for supplements during the China tariffs trade war, I cant help but think that a offer to assist the largest producer of dairy in the US could possible also see this. Being a former hourly employee that has saw the waste that continues(so Im told), I wouldn’t be opposed to it as a tax payer as long as Management changed to a more conservative approach to spending. Lets face the truth, we all saw waste and things that were not needed. Open positions not needed that were filled and in some plants, just a lack of concern for the need to achieve production. This all catches up after a while. Too many corporate positions and the destruction of R&D and Marketing Dept. Only the strong survive, should be the new Dean Foods motto!

Dean Foods has no money to pay the politicians and not enough employees to swing an election, so don't see a bailout happening.

Then Bordens will want a bailout and Kraft Foods will want a bailout as well since they are in deep debt and may be heading for bankruptcy. Sorry but the food business isn't set up like the auto industry with the teamsters being a major influence in congress.

Contact your Congress for your state and get their attention.
