Financial results in whole 2019 and epic stock decline are a testament to Vantage quality. Teradata is an amazing DWH tech with very good experts in that field. This part of the so called platform is solid and really good. But advanced analytics and machine learning are just not there. Resurrecting old Aster technology on new cloud tech stack, that actually stopped selling years ago is just a bad business. Better keep milking the DWH and preserve the great reputation from old years.

It doesn't help that the old Aster engineering and R&D staff were whacked a couple of years ago. Any remaining resources who know/knew the product are routinely ignored by the current crop of R&D geniuses. Way to go boys.
Meanwhile every cloud DWH competitor is going after TD customers starting with the former NAD/Commercial accounts. Good luck. I've already advised my current employer to not consider TD - they're better off staying on Neteeza even if it is being sunset in the next few years.
