I am really tired of the impending layoffs, especially since I know by my age (oh) that I will be among the ones who will be cut. I am almost fifty and we all know that it is a death knell for continuing to work at the company. I'm really not sure if they can go on for so long without being cut. Morale is already hit hard, which, affects productivity. Not to mention the fact that they are losing some of our best people and replacing them with cheaper newcomers who hardly know what they are doing. And to think that I used to enjoy working here ...

I already told my husband that I’m looking for an attorney.... they couldn’t give me enough severance for the discrimination they’ve caused. HR sends paperwork which is another violation.... I’m not signing ....
The people that were in my group were all in their 50’s including myself. Definitely a trend. And unfortunately in order to get your severance.. you must agree to make no claims against the company. I may just forgo the severance and make a claim for age discrimination.

There was definitely a common theme on the layoffs on Thursday. I’m in my mid 50’s as were 4 others in my area.
Soooo not worth the wait. Plus, at your age (51) , you’re only making it worse on yourself unless you’re nest egg is in order.

I’m 51 and worried every first week of each month if I will have to go job hunting. My anxiety is up and headaches are a daily thing.......
