It will get worse. Update your resume and hope u make it before the next layoff (RIF) in March.

I work in Louisiana and we were acquired by UHC this year and we experienced the UNEXPECTED LAYOFFS this morning as well. It was an awful feeling seeing employees escorted out of our building nurses, mangers, receptionist, pharmacist etc...
No the RIF’s are not over yet. This has been happening since May 2019. Next one is in March and Optum will get hit hard. I don’t have a specific date yet.
