With all these stores now in liquidation and very far a part how will this be handled? Seems like a mess. Well, all falls down welcome to the circus.

Can't customers go to Lowe's or ACE to exchange Craftsman items?
There will be a date established at the store by the liquidator after which stuff like returns and warranty exchanges no longer happen. Customers are out of luck.
Do you think they care? Warranties are liabilities and we know how happy they were to shed them in the bankruptcy. As for the customers, anybody buying anything from Sears post bankruptcy should know what to expect. Lifetime warranties should be honored by Craftsman, and if a Sears store is still around, until recently it was possible to echange the OOS warranty item for a gift card, not that there is much left to buy with it.
Craftsman hand tool exchanges??? Seems tricky.
I thought that warranties are handled by a third party, this the liquidation would have no effect?
