Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

All new hires, RCG and Experienced should bringup lay off discussion during hiring

I think, if management has not gotten the message yet, all the future hires should talk to the HR rep before accepting the offer that they are concerned about the periodic intel layoff

Why will new hires bring it up? RCGs who are competent enough to get a job elsewhere will just get a job in some other place. Only RCGs who are unable to get a job elsewhere will join Intel.
The high rung id–ts at Intel think they will get rid of older workers and hire young ones.
What they will end up doing is to get rid of good older workers and hire bad young ones.

The layoffs benefit any new hire. What is a new hire supposed to ask or say? I guess they can thank HR for getting rid of the old guys to make space for them.
