I was laid off last week. No notice and was given a severance package. Does anyone know how many people total were laid off? Are we covered under the warn act?

Has anyone gotten their severance?! I haven't.
I think whomever said the company wanted to hire “high schoolers” was a bit misinformed lol. All DMs should have had a script that they would have followed for legal reasons. In that script, it was very clear that AE (not Aerie) is underperforming, and therefore the company decided to eliminate the Selling Leader Role in all locations effective immediately. By replacing the full-time role with part-timers, they don’t have to provide benefits and PTO.
Regardless, it’s all bull sh**
They told me they were letting people go because the company as a whole is wanting to hire more high schoolers and the two sales lead positions would give them an easier way to get leadership experience. Is that age discrimination?
I was laid off yesterday. No warning no nothing. Also give severance. Was a shock!!
The same happened to me just this morning. I worked there for over a couple years and only got one week severance. Was it the same for everyone else? I think i speak for everyone when i say none of us can afford a lawyer with our pervious pay
From my understanding if you take the severance then you can't take any legal action.
We got screwed nice to know that our ceo got a 57% pay increase in 2019 and we all got laid off not even asked about the part time position. They pay their warehouse employees better than managers and they get better discounts and events than us. I guess manag i'l ng 30+ plus ppl every week tracking numbers t as king care of customers shipments and you know the things that actually make the company money and loyal customers means nothing.
Same thing happened to me. I had not heard of the Warn Act. Sounds like we might be covered? There's definitely more than 100 STLs that got laid off. Has anyone consulted an attorney?
