Thread regarding Sears layoffs

This is heartbreaking

At least for those of us who have been with this company for longer than we can remember. It's still hard for me to accept there will be a point in time when Sears will no longer exists.

I find it hard to let it go. Shopping at Sears and Kmart getting stuff for free or paying cents on the dollar was an enjoyable hobby for many people, but also very time consuming. At this point, even for free stuff, the junk that is left and the drive to find a store not yet closed or in liquidation is no longer worth the effort. All that is left are the good memories.

I was just thinking the same thing!! I remember how well we took care of customers, yes customers not members, from the point of purchase through delivery and after if there was a problem !! Don't even get me started on catalog. Well I have great friends and memories!! What could have been!!

I felt that way 11/2 years ago, but I got over it so much quicker than you might imagine.
