Thread regarding UnitedHealth Group Inc. layoffs

Uhc is the worst

I've been a long time employee and remember when they used to give out profit sharing checks. I have seen this company go from a healthcare company to a money making enterprise only. Been thru 5 layoffs too. I have never seen anything like this before though. I for one would welcome a layoff. I know WAH's and it has affected their health and energy levels too. They just don't get out and move anymore. Sometimes a bad thing like a layoff is a blessing in disguise

We will give you the benefit of a doubt that this is true. Holy c-ap that is awful news to hear. Feel sorry for that VP’s family and friends.

Here is a true UHC story. A friend at UHC called a Vice President on a Friday. The VP was distraught. He had gotten his instructions to lay-off 250. He didn’t want to do it partially for self-serving reasons. How would the work get done ? The offshore help was awful. The VP was distraught. My friend agreed to call back the following Wednesday. When he called back he was told that the VP had a fatal heart attack over the weekend. Lesson: Conflict is Bad and Life is a Good. Don’t stay Conflicted. Move On. Life is Good Elsewhere.

I think the best security is the security that a union can provide. I have never worked for one however I know a few that do and overall the benefits and pay keep going up
