Is firing a DM really a bad thing?

@7wrz+13l4a8NA Is right - You better have a rainy day fund.. The ppl at the top are s—ing the company dry and will move on when it's dead with millions in their pockets.

Assistant store managers are being sent around stores in the Atlanta division to train hourly clerks to be "manager on duty" the hourly clerks will receive a 50 cent premium to be the MOD after this training is done I heard the next round of salary employee layoffs will start.Im a 20 year hourly employee and the stores in the Atlanta division are in complete chaos there all understaffed and can't fill department head or back up positions in departments.Store conditions are awful everywhere since General office in Cincinnati decided to change part of the bonus structure to how much money they can save the company.Right after this happened store budgets were slashed around 20 percent but the workloads got bigger and staffing issues got worse some of the executives bonus in Cincinnati went up three digits after this change it has been reported.Anyone that has a degree or the job skills to a decent job needs to get out now general office in Cincinnati is completely out of touch with the reality in the stores and only cares about shareholders there taking the company down wouldn't be surprised if the company is bought out in a couple of years.

If it happens - it will probably happen before bonus pay outs. Yes that’s how arrogant and cruel Kroger is. They really think they can treat workers terrible and continue to attract good talent.

Not sure the date but from what I hear the store layoffs will come before March and the GO layoffs in October.

Don't know about this week but if the company is going to achieve the internal goal of a 38% reduction in OG&A in 2020, they are going to have to act soon!
