I know that the word is that Pivotal Software is safe from layoffs for now, but you got to admit that the situation at VMware is far from good and that things could change by the minute. Layoffs could violently spil to our side, so that makes me wonder if we are really any safer than the rest of the VMware family.
How probable is the scenario that Pivotal gets affected by layoffs soon?

I’m not sure I get the relationship between Dell, VMware and Pivotal these days. Can some explain it to a newcomer.
Heard blood letting at Pivotal will commence soon. It will become a feature and most will be let go. Especially from sales and services (prof services, edu etc). Loads of overlap. Cool kids in jeans and kicks out the door first as the corporate beast takes over. Farewell.
