It seems everything is down – income, revenue, head count, facilities, moral. Starting to wonder if I work for a house of cards that is slowly collapsing before my eyes. Thankful I have a job. Feel bad for those that were randomly let go. Expecting no bonus, pay increase and just more bad news. Going to keep looking for the next thing. I just hope I can hang on since this is now the Worst Place to Work. Is there an award for that? If not, we should start one.

I've seen and personally know no less than 5 people let go, with no less than 20 years. Dont be so naive to think it wont happen to you. Company starts trying to make (save) at the employees expense simply does not care who goes.
Job is horrific!!!!!!!
I must say that I agree with the previous comment. I have to take medication to deal with the verbal, mental, and emotional abuse given by the company, and the customers. The company allows customers to abuse us. Decent companies would never allow it. This company lacks integrity. Among much more.
@1gkp+13jIxJOA And what about those who don’t have their jobs? Woe on them? You don’t have to leave and it’s fortunate that you still have a place to work that provides somewhat decent pay & benefits. Wishing they would fail? Hmmm... it’s more like their actions are causing THEM to fail! Just because you haven’t been on the receiving end of their insidious behavior doesn’t make them company of the century. For those of us who still work there and take calls, understand what it means to be mistreated not only by the customers but by our own employer. This is not reshaping as what had been done in the past 20 years my friend, it’s much different AND their shady business practices are now catching up to them. I wish for the TRUTH to come forth and NOT for the failure of Alliance Data. Are you that character from the Reese’s Super Bowl add that walks up to the woman eating the candy bar with his head buried in his bum? REALLY! If you’re truly an adult, dealing with life, then why not open your eyes and see what has been happening all along? From the comment you made about being thankful for YOUR job and benefits, it sounds very selfish and single-minded. 20 years with the company and you didn’t see what was happening? No clues that people would be let go, especially around the holidays? This is not normal for a company unless it’s close to being defunct! Can Alliance Data be saved? Even without a name change? Well “adult” that’s for you to decide. Perhaps your next post will be more engaging than the self-centered comments of this affecting just you.
I'm going to continue to be thankful for my job and benefits. This is not the first time we've went through this and it won't be the last. For people wishing the company to fail you are worse than the layoffs we have had in the last 7 months. Some of us still like our jobs some of us depend on the income and benefits. Some of us still work hard because we've been through it multiple times in the last 20 years.
