Several of my nurse friends were laid off, and I am sure I’m on the chopping block, as well (also a nurse). Seniority does not count anymore, nor does productivity, it seems just location and salary. The more money they can save, the better for their top shareholders. Nurses seem to no longer get moved to other departments but rather chopped altogether.

You’d think all the singing, the chanting, skits, happy song blasting, smiley face shirts, yo this that, dressing up in costumes, and shouting back ones allegiance to the corporation would matter? Nope.
