Sell it for sc-ap iron, boost the share price a few cents.
Close it all down
What a waste of money while they furlough men on the ground actually creating profit
Should have been the first thing to go!
The thing is the heritage/steam program doesn’t bring any money in really, yes they maybe have a train ride like they did with the big boy (but even then it was a one time thing) and sell souvenirs when they park wherever they took the locomotive during the excursion but there is no way that offsets the cost of the trip. But big picture it’s not profitable, is it a tax write off probably but still the company says that they are out to make money. And having three steam locomotives and a few other choice locomotives and other rolling stock in the middle of nowhere Wyoming collecting dust as well as the dining cars and other passenger cars sitting in Iowa makes no sense move them somewhere accessible and make a museum out of them and run a few trains with them sell tickets to go from point a to point b every once and a while use them to make something profitable.
That ain’t our history and we ain’t no family
Why would you sell your history. In the long picture this is just a small bump on the road.
