They allow the regular banter and sears bashing. But if u talk about anything specific within the company they remove your post. Pleas read this everyone. Sears is a very very shady business

If you look on the City of Hoffman Estates website, they don't mention that they control this layoff board. Never believe anything until it is officially denied.
@voice of all techs... its been that way for years. i remember a manager in a routing office with a trail of harassing people that he saw as being "different". the company would just move him to someplace else. at one point, they were having him work from home to keep him away from people so he wouldnt harass anybody.
when he was a DM, he had 2 different techs d–g tested weekly and would openly tell other techs that the 2 must be on d–gs because of how they cut their hair and had tattoos. when that blew up and lawyers got involved, they moved him to a routing office where he did the same thing to a girl over her hair color and piercings.
Once you hit a certain level of management with the company you are almost untouchable. I've seen DM's and TM's get caught stealing all sorts of money and merchandise and only be asked to resign. meanwhile, a tech made a stop at the grocery store on the way home and he was fired and had to show up with a lawyer to get his tools out of his van.
I don't Sears can control what is published here
You mean we can’t discuss the incompetence of the field leadership team or the ignorance of retail services? They must have huge golden parachutes to stay and screw the rest of the company. Get you miles Gomer...
Eddie should worry more about losing vendors.
Darnit! He’s on to us, he figured out we in hoffman estates are secretly deleting posts on a third party website that we somehow got access to!
Alert the media!
Lol, yeah okay. They have their own moderators on a private website? Makes sense
no. it's most likely someone was bullying or swearing. if they could, they would have stopped this site long ago. also, there are 1000s of companies here, just go to 'latest posts' and see how many companies had posts in last 30 minutes, probably dozens of them - this is bigger than HE
see below...from post @OP+WWJ1wBT or thelayoff.com/t/WWJ1wBT
I've been on the site for a while now and here is my observation on what kind of posts mods/admins delete:
Foul language (a big no-no)
Defamation
Racism
Anything that has personal info
Using names excluding public figures like PR, Comms, Board and C-Level)
Unsupported negative posts (e.g., you will all be laid off, ford engineers are not competent, etc)
Trolling (they axe this sometimes, I've seen some troll posts survive but they typically nix it)
References to violence and sgurd (read this in reverse, I don't want to be tagged as pitching it here, merely trying to avoid being blocked)
