Next generation APM agent

Tiger team of four people has been quietly working on NxGA. Exploring ways to replace the existing design, they recently arrived at a MVP. Additional people have been read in and we all asked to continue to operate in stealth. The secrets make me feel very uncomfortable. I’m told by management they are concerned old agent members will quit before a new replacement is available. But don’t have a next project for them once NxGA ships. Most old agent are expected to be let go , this is the real reason for the secrets. I feel so uneasy. So I post here

And Splunk has acquired its own APM solutions, so good luck with the competition. :-)

Bingo! New agent will be mostly open source and Splunk also feed directly into Splunk. Why do you think AR and AS jumping ship? They were against this decision. They couldn’t possibly stay after the last year saying Broadcom will beat Splunk. Now we are basically sleeping with the competition. It’s hilarious actually

LOL - replace the agent? Why even bother? How about you work on fixing the new EM replacement architecture which requires an entire data center to tell you if a single java app is on or off.
