Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

Hit 90% to plan or here comes the PIP and then termination

Its true.. This is the go forward for outside reps in SBA
If you do not hit 90% in 2 pay periods, PIP and termination will follow.
The company says that they have provided the needed training and if 90% to plan is not hit, you are as good as gone.
Change everyone's book of business then roll out this c-ap....

Staples is bleeding, Sycamore is not happy (because no one in their right mind would buy into an IPO)
Get out while you can. The cheap labor will be coming in the door and cost will be cut to the bone.

Terminations are coming big time. I don't believe they will even bother with PIPs.
All in preparation for the IPO they want to create......
If you are seasoned, have more than 10 years, the target is right on your forehead.
They no longer wants reps making 100K plus per year. Those days are over.

To: What about RSDs, VPs and Presidents that are missing their targets - do they get to go on the list too? It’s only fair...
No, the RSD’s VP’s and Presidents will not be included in the disciplinary receiving line, because their job is to sacrifice You. Their negative consequences will take place when the company finally folds because of their inability to chart a successful plan of action.

A way to phase out the once successful older folks and bring on less paid younger ones.

Regardless, of the % most sales gigs have a floor for your to hit or eventually your are walked out the door. My thought to all in the industry, it’s dead no money left how do you expect to get commission on no margarine sales? Time to find a new industry, change is hard but staying on the titanic hoping she won’t sink In not a winning strategy.

Everyone knows there are ebbs and flows to sales.
When a company takes established books of business and flips them on there head by assigning completely different reps, this just adds more "ebbs" for the sales person and the customer.
Then this same company starts issuing threats to the worker.
So many people looking over their shoulders. So many others making up false numbers to look good.
This is a recipe for failure. The company knows this but "advisers" working with Sycamore (wall street junkies and Harvard A-holes) think they have the medicine to fix things. They DO NOT... how about some more of that dumb @ss sales training..... that should do it.
