This is a screw shareholder and rank and file employee management team comprised of friends and family of Vik Verma. Most board's would have fired this CEO and his do nothing get rich buddies.

Worst company ever, full of nepotism.Initially they will offer you higher package while hiring otherwise no one is going to join this company as no one knows about this company and what it do. Since company is not doing well so the people who hired recently with higher package are the first one to layoff as cost reduction step. Manager here called Directors have a group of few people to whom they interact, these are the same people who workers together in the previous company only these people have immunity to layoff. Very bad environment and culture at 8x8, full of politics, avoid this any cost. HR at orientation ask new hires to give good ratings on glassdoor. So called fake director are working here and earning fat paycheck, waiting their stocks to invest. They have nothing to do with the company growth, they will all leave once their stocks invest.
As a current employee of 8x8. It seems that sometimes companies hire people who don't actually bring any value to the company. I find this type of "house cleaning" refreshing. It means that 8x8 is trying to be a more lean company that is cutting costs to bring more value to the existing employees. I have never seen favoritism in the company, rather investment (that comes with risk) in our people/employees. I look forward to 8x8's growth and their ability to deliver on their promises.
